A Much Needed Break
With midterms slowly creeping up on the students here at Eureka, it is clear that spring break is right around the corner. With leaves slowly growing on the tree branches and warm sunlight illuminating campus, a week off from classes cannot come quickly enough for some. Many students have exciting plans for their time away.
Freshman Tatum Trotter “My spring break plan is to travel to Texas with the softball team. It will be the start of our season and a good way to get ready for our conference games. I am also super excited for some spring activities the campus has planned, and also for Uncle Bob’s Ice Cream runs when the weather warms up!”
Senior JD Theile “I’m planning to go down south to St. Louis and then Southern Missouri to go explore some caves that have interested me over the years there. I’m also going to the national parks in Arkansas and after those, I’m gonna go down to Memphis and visit there for a bit.”
Sophomore Alexis Charleton “Brooklyn, my best friend, and I are going to take a vacation to Lake Wales in Florida. We’re planning to visit some of her family when down there and get some sunshine for the time being.”
Junior Xavier Martinez “My spring break plan is to go up north to my aunt’s farm in Stillman Valley. While I’m there I’m going to be helping out with the animals, and spending time with family. There’s really good food up there that we don’t have here so I’m excited to try that out again. For the past 4 or 5 years I’ve gone up and helped and have always enjoyed my time there.”
The Pegasus staff wishes all students a happy and healthy spring break! With the spring sports teams beginning their seasons, don’t forget to get outside and support your fellow Red Devils.
